Cheer sto Telluride

Hello Famous TMHS Parents

We are so excited to have Telluride Film Fest in town this weekend and we hope you also enjoy a beautiful Labor Day weekend. We will be back and ready to go Tuesday.
We want to thank you all for your support and understanding (hehe) for the Buzz for Dori. We swept HUGE piles of hair and the love for Dori was felt! These are truly the moments where our small town and tight knit community and school really get to shine!
Have a wonderful weekend, come watch some awesome Miner Sports and be beautiful Telluride!
Best,
Mrs Traci

TMHS Community:

Happy 3 day weekend! Please note today is a half day and we do not have school on Monday.

It was great to see so many parents at Back to School night, please reach out to your child's teacher is you have questions about anything. Please also know that Schoology is your friend, all information for classes is posted there.

Thank you all who have been showing up to cheer on our athletic teams, tomorrow is a full day of home games!

We have moved the 9th 12th grade trip to October 15-16. A parent email and sign up will go out Tuesday so be on the lookout for that!

Be Kind to the Crossing Guard for Safety and Efficiency

Please be respectful of the Crossing Guard on West Colorado Avenue when he is directing traffic and pedestrian crossing before and after school.  Adults crossing on foot, bikes and e-bikes should also follow his direction.  This is to maintain the safety of our students, and everyone involved.
Please talk to your students about manners while crossing the street especially at break and lunch time when there is not a cross walk duty person. We have concerns from our community voiced often  that the students are not respectful and aware while crossing the street. Thank you.

Skippy Dental Program

Hello families,
In partnership with your child's school, Tri-County Health Network (TCHNetwork) is pleased to offer Skippy, a school based dental program providing comprehensive oral healthcare to your child at no out of pocket cost to you. Through Skippy we bring dental care to your children so they can spend more time in the classroom and less time traveling to a dentist!
The Skippy dental team provides the following preventive care:
• Dental Exam
• X-Rays
• Fluoride treatment
• Protective Sealants
• Cleaning
• Education to your children about how to brush and floss.
• Free toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss
• If needed, primary restorative care: in the form of Interim Temporary Restorations (ITR) and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF)
This convenient dental visit takes about 30-45 minutes and gets your child back in the classroom quickly.
We will be at Telluride Elementary School on September 29/30th-October 2nd (AND October 5-6th if needed) . (We will be at the Middle and High School on September 21st-25th and if needed the 28th.)
If you would like to sign your child up, please fill out the consent form by going to https://tchnetwork.org/skippy-consent/ or you may pick up paper form at your child’s school. This consent is valid for the entire school year, both fall and spring semesters, unless revoked by a parent or guardian. Remember, if you signed up for the fall, you are automatically enrolled for the spring semester. For questions or assistance, please email dental-coord@tchnetwork.org.
Skippy is offered at no out-of-pocket costs to ALL families. Please fill out the form in its entirety, including the Insurance information. If you have dental insurance, we will bill for services just like other dental offices, but you will not be responsible for co-pay. This helps us to continue the program for all students. Tri County Health network offers health insurance enrollment assistance if you need insurance. You can email enrollment@tricountyhealthnetwork.org for insurance enrollment assistance.
We hope to see your child this spring!
Skippy is generously sponsored by Pediatric Dental Specialists, El Pomar Foundation, Delta Dental, Colorado Dental Association, Town of Ridgway, Lone Cone Legacy Trust and Western Co Community Foundation, , Temple Hoyne Buell Foundation, Jolley Smiles and San Miguel Power Association
