I hope that you are in the full swing of BACK TO SCHOOL! I love seeing all of the smiling faces each day. It truly brightens my world. I am getting the hang of all of the new students and 7th Graders' names! Have a beautiful weekend and we will see everyone Monday!

Today, started Fall PE, a relatively new TMHS tradition. Students were with other groups of students around school and town participating in various activities. The teachers planned the activities and led the groups (thank you teachers!). We will have Fall Pe on September 11th & 18th. 

Our first Miner Community Meeting is Tuesday, September 2nd at 3:30 in the Bridal Veil Conference Room. There is also a zoom link on the agenda. 

This Wednesday is our annual Back to School Night. At TMHS, we follow an abbreviated bell schedule.

Students do not need to attend with parents but they are welcome to, they are great tour guides! This is an opportunity to see your child's day, meet there teachers and here about their classes. This is not a one on one conversation with the teacher, we will have conferences in October. I hope to see you there!

We will host ALMA 101 at 4:30 in the TMHS library, how to use ALMA. We are planning to have tech support to help with passwords, accounts, etc. 

We have had a lot going on in the Tech Department! Thank you for your support and patience while we make our transitions. I am hopeful that everyone can get into ALMA, if you cannot please notify helpdesk@telluride.k12.co.us

One to One Devices: As of 2:30 today, we have made some major progress! All students have access to school issued e-mail addresses and all 11th & 12th graders have access to personal email addresses. We will be providing students step by step directions on how to access next week. 

Schoology: Every teacher has beeb asked to have all assignments on the calendar. It is a great resource to know what is happening and what is due. If you have a question, your first point of contact is the teacher. 

On Thursday, September 3rd, students who participated in the Holocaust Learning Experience last year will be presenting to 10th & 11th grade students.  We will be hosting a community presentation on September 16th. If students are interested in applying, applications will be available September 3rd and due September 21st. 

Friday, September 4th is a half day of school and September 7th there is no school due to the Labor Day holiday.

Hello families,

In partnership with your child's school, THRIVE Community Health network –(formerly Tri-County Health Network) - is pleased to offer Skippy, a school based dental program providing comprehensive oral healthcare to your child at no out of pocket cost to you. Through Skippy we bring dental care to your children so they can spend more time in the classroom and less time traveling to a dentist!

The Skippy dental team provides the following preventive care:

•        Dental Exam

•        X-Rays

•        Fluoride treatment

•        Protective Sealants

•        Cleaning

•        Education to your children about how to brush and floss

•        Free toothbrush, toothpaste and floss

•        If needed, primary restorative care: in the form of Interim Temporary Restorations (ITR) and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF)

This convenient dental visit takes about 30-45 minutes and gets your child back in the classroom quickly.

The Telluride School District clinic will begin on September 21, 2026. The clinic will operate throughout the week (until we have seen all enrolled students). We will begin the elementary school clinic on September 29/30th.

If you would like to sign your child up, please fill out the consent form at Skippy Consent/Enrollment Form – Thrive Community Health Network This consent is valid for the entire school year, both fall and spring semesters, unless revoked by a parent or guardian. Remember, if you sign up for the fall you are automatically enrolled for the spring semester. For questions, please email dental-coord@tchnetwork.org.

Skippy is offered at no out-of-pocket costs to all families. If you have dental insurance, we will bill for services just like other dental offices, but you will never be asked for a co-pay. THRIVE Community Health Network offers health insurance enrollment assistance if you need insurance.
