Spring Athletics Reminders & Expectations
TMHS Parents:
I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather, with this comes the start of spring athletics. We are a couple weeks into the season and I would like to send some reminders.
First, I would like to thank our Booster Club for providing concessions at our home games. We appreciate all they have done to support our athletic program. I would also like to remind people that if you need support in paying your athletic fees, the Booster Club is here to help. We would like to thank everyone who has paid their fees thus far. If they are still outstanding, please make an effort to drop by the front office and pay all your fees (athletic, academic, etc).
At TMHS we abide by The Miner Way of respect, responsibility and integrity. Our students are having fun, learning and connecting with teammates and coaches while playing athletics at TMHS. I would like to set some reminders and expectations:
This is middle and high school. The purpose is growth and fun.
Please do not yell at the refs, they will not get every call correct, that is ok, they are human and make mistakes. Sometimes they will call in favor of us and sometimes not. I have yet to see a ref change their mind because a fan yelled at them. Please respect the officials.
When other schools and parents come to our campus we want to show them The Miner Way - we do not need kids or adults engaging with other parents if they are being disrespectful. That is why Chris and I are at games to mitigate any issues.
I ask all supporters to cheer for our team, not against the other team or call out specific players on other teams.
Chris, Jaime and I are the clean up crew, we would appreciate any and all help in making sure the field is left clean.
Thank you for supporting the student athletics and respecting The Miner Way. All athletic events are posted at www.tellurideathletics.com. Please spread the word. We love having fans on the sidelines. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
Boys Lacrosse plays tomorrow, Saturday @ 12, we hope to see you there.
Go Miners!
