Resolution of the Ski Patrol Strike and Winter PE

Posted Date: 01/08/26 (06:24 PM)

Good Evening TSD Community,

By now, you have likely heard that the strike of the Telluride Professional Ski Patrol Association has ended, and that Telski is working on opening more of the mountain as soon as reasonably possible.  I am grateful for this news and am hopeful that our community can now move forward in the most positive way possible, as there is much recovery needed and many wounds to heal.

Based on that news, we are cautiously optimistic we can have a full Winter PE schedule next week. We have asked Telski's director of risk management about what terrain they anticipate being open next week and are waiting for that determination to be made; this will likely be a day-by-day development.  While things can change, and we may need to make a change as late as Monday,  we will plan for a full Winter PE schedule.  With that said, we need to make sure the amount of terrain open is safe for the number of students we will send onto the slopes.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

John Pandolfo
