TMHS Community:
Welcome to second semester! We hope you had a wonderful winter break and we are excited to welcome everyone back to school on Monday, January 6th.

This email will have everything you need to know for Winter PE and the first week back. The most important thing to remember is there is no early release during Winter Pe; we follow this bell schedule: 2025 Winter Pe Bell

If your student missed an exam in December they will make it up during Winter PE.
Winter PE Reminders & Expectations
The purpose of Winter PE is to; have fun, connect with your teachers(our teachers join students on Fridays to participate with them and build relationships outside of the classroom) and learn something new!

Please review these expectations with your student, teachers will be reviewing on Thursday with their tutorial classes.

  • Winter PE is school, it counts for school minutes, therefore it is expected that students are learning while you are participating in the various activities.
  •  Students are responsible for transporting themselves to and from Winter PE (bus, walk, gondola, etc).
  • Students are dismissed from their location; those on the mountain do not need to return to the top or bottom of 7 to dismiss.
  • The school is open until 5 pm for students to pick up their school supplies or drop of gear.
  • Gear will be left in the hallway by the west entrance (near Ms. Hanna and Ms. Morgan’s room). If students leave gear over the weekend they will not be able to access it.
  • Students must sign in using the QR code at their activity.
  • Winter PE is an incredible privilege for our students; we ask that they take advantage of all your activity has to offer.
  • Students must show the Miner Way - respect, responsibility and integrity.
  • Respect: listen to the instructors, coaches, stay with your group at all times.
  • Responsibility: Please be on time, have all necessary gear and follow the skier’s responsibility code on the mountain.
  • Always stay in control - this includes speed - skiing or riding too fast puts passes in jeopardy.
  • People ahead of you or downhill have the right of way.
  • Stay in bounds, ducking the rope puts passes in jeopardy.
  • All students may eat lunch off campus on their way to Winter PE, please make sure they are on-time to your activity.
  • Also, this is the last year seniors are exempt from Winter PE, starting in 2025-2026 all 7th - 12th grade students will participate.

TELSKI ONLY: Groups will be determined at bottom of 7 on the first day based on ability.
