TMHS Winter PE Program Options

Registration Week November 4 - 9

TMHS Does not have a Study Hall

Seniors are Exempt from Participating in Winter PE

7th - 11th graders are required to participate in Winter PE

 

  1. Telski - Ski/Snowboard PE 

  • Ski Pass depends on the student's age; purchase a ski pass at the local rate at the Telluride Ski Resort website.

  • Ski PE Program: $300. Register and pay for the program at the Telluride Ski Resort website.

  • You can register now, or if you applied for a Winter PE Scholarship, you can wait until the Scholarships are awarded on November 1st.

 

  1. Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club 

  • Cost: Registration is Open 

  • All registration, prices, and information can be found on the Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club website

  • Once your student is registered through TSSC, there is nothing else you need to do.

 

  1. Platform Tennis & Pickleball (Maximum Capacity 12) 

  2. Cost: $300

  3.  Registration and information can be found at the Telluride Racquet Club or download the Telluride Racquet Club app from the app store.  

 

  1. Molecular Gastronomy/Curling (Thurs. Molecular Gastronomy/Fri. Curling, maximum capacity 6) 

 

  1. Yoga/Curling (Thurs. Yoga/Fri. Curling, maximum 6 participants minimum) 
  • Cost: $130 ($30 for Yoga and $100 for Curling)

  • You must register for both Yoga and Curling.

  1. Thursday or Friday Rock Climbing/Weight Training (Maximum Capacity 12 each day) 

  • Two Separate Classes; One class Rock Climbing on Thursday and Weightlifting on Friday or ONe Weightlifting on Thursday and Climbing on Friday. Cannot Rock Climb both Thursday and Friday. Cannot Weightlift both Thursday and Friday.

  • Cost: $225 

  • You must register for both Rock Climbing and Weight Training.

  • Weight Training – registration can be found on this form.

 

  1. Skateboarding - Both Thursday and Fridays (Minimum Participants 3/Maximum Participants 6)

 

  1. The Palm Dance - Both Thursday and Fridays (6 participants minimum, 14 maximum)

 

  1. Junior Pro Instructor Development (Max Capacity 20 Skiers/10 Snowboarders) 

Telluride Ski and Snowboard School is offering a Junior Pro Instructor Development Program. Training will take place during the five weeks of Ski PE. This will give participants 10 training sessions, with optional employment and certification.  We will offer 20 alpine and 10 snowboard positions at no additional cost beyond the Ski PE registration fees. 

  • Training will consist of: 

    • Personal ski/snowboard improvement 

    • Movement Analysis 

    • Instruction  

  • Students will be given the following options:  

    • Participation 

    • Participation with employment  

    • Participation in employment and certification 

Registration and program details will be emailed to the parents of students who register for Ski PE in early December. In the meantime, questions can be directed to Tom Newell.

Please email jstewart@telluride.k12.co.us after you have completed registration with Telski so Jaime can keep track of how many students want to participate in the Instructor Program.

 

  1. Basketball (THS Boys and Girls Basketball Team and TMS Girls Basketball Team Members ONLY)
  • Cost: Free
  • Register for Winter PE Basketball with this form.
  • Meet in TMHS Gym on Thursday and Friday afternoon.
