Principal's Corner

Sara Kimble, Principal

Telluride High School and Telluride Middle School consistently maintain their reputation for academic excellence.

We are very proud of our students and faculty.  We offer a strong academic program balanced with hands-on experiential learning opportunities.  We are confident that the programs we offer will prepare our students for the demands of the 21st century.

As Principal, it is my belief that we as educators must exhaust all material and human resources to equip our students with the necessary skills and experiences to be responsible and productive citizens, oriented toward service for others, and able to express themselves clearly and confidently in order to live independently in, and continually navigate through, an increasingly global and interdependent world.

Valuing the partnership between home and school, we as educators work to guide students and maximize their potential for thinking critically, discovering new ways to solve problems, finding answers to their questions, and constructing new knowledge. We will always strive to create an environment that is safe and secure, promotes curiosity and discovery, is stimulating and challenging, and fosters tolerance for all individuals.

We will be thoroughly invested in each individual student.  It is our obligation to inspire, nurture, and empower those students in our charge on the continuum.  As the school year progresses, I invite you to check back frequently for updated information on athletics, fine arts, special school events, your child’s progress, and the school calendar.
